HDPE and PE belong to the polyethylene (Polyethylene, PE) family, but the two cannot be completely equivalent. HDPE is definitely PE, and PE is not limited to HDPE. However, in the construction industry, PE pipes are still HDPE.
Polyethylene (PE) Polyethylene is a thermoplastic plastic formed by polymerizing ethylene monomers (CH2=CH2). Depending on its crystallinity and density, polyethylene can be divided into several types, mainly including:
Low-density polyethylene (LDPE):
Characteristics: Has a lower density (0.910-0.925 g/cm³), with many branched molecular chains and low crystallinity.

Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE):

High-density polyethylene (HDPE):
Characteristics: It has a high density (0.940 - 0.970 g/cm³), with almost no branching in the molecular chain and a high degree of crystallinity.
Advantages: It has high mechanical strength, good chemical resistance and wear resistance, and a high rigidity.
Applications: It is suitable for use in pipes, plastic bottles, containers, toys, etc.
